But we all know that Ranma and Akane are destined to be together, so poor Shinboy's outta luck. But every Ranma 1/2 guy's gotta have a Ranma 1/2 girl, so I started thinking about who would be a good match for this guy? I crossed off Shampoo, Ukyo, Nabiki, and Kasumi because I feel they would make great couples with other Ranma 1/2 guys. Then there's Kodachi, but I have a really hard time picturing those two together. And I crossed off Azusa because who knows what she'd do to all those poor animals in the forest. Then finally I came up with the ideal girl.

I think the right girl for Shinnosuke is Natsume from "Akane and her Sisters."

   I mean they have things in common, like they both came out in Ranma 1/2 two parters and they take care of a relative.

His perfect mate? Well, the two never meet, but I gave a crack at how their first encounter would go:

   Imagine, after weeks and weeks of wandering Natsume and Kurumi come across a forest. Unaware of the gigantic animals that inhabit the forest, the two young girls set up camp. The earth begins to shake as a giant platypus finds them. Petrified at the platypus's huge size and unable to move the girls are helpless. Then out of the trees comes a dark figure. He's swift, and with one single blow with a broom he is able to chase away the humongous beast. The figure asks if they are alright, as he steps out of the shadows. As the figure meets Natsume's eyes something sparks within her and she feels something she has never felt before. The young man also feels the same the spark, something he had felt before with a girl, he just couldn't remember her name at the moment. However, he had never felt this strongly about that girl as he did about this one. After staring at each other for what seemed like an eternity the young man introduces himself,"I'm Shinnosuke."
"I'm Natsume and this is my sister Kurumi.", Natsume responds. Shinnosuke takes them back to the cottage so they'll be safe. They meet his grandfather and he says they can stay there for the night. As they sleep, Natsume can't help watching Shinnosuke sleep. She thinks to herself how she can have such strong feeling for a complete and total stranger. Well, morning comes and the girls thank Shinnosuke and his grandfather for their hospitality. They start packing up to go on their way but Shinnosuke can't help but ask them to stay for another night. Natsume happily agrees but only if she can cook dinner for them. Shinnosuke then says he has to go out and protect the forest and Natsume wonders if she can come along. Shinnosuke is reluctant to let her come, but finally agrees. Surprisingly the animals are no trouble, so Shinnosuke and Natsume take a walk to the spring of life. They're amazed at how much they have gotten to know each other in such a short time. Shinnosuke and Natsume can't hide the feelings they've been feeling ever since they met. So they finally say what's in their hearts and are relieved that it's the same thing. They walk back to the house. They don't know what to do next because they've never been in a situation like this, but they do know they want to find out together.
